The Danish government's approval of the licensing of this large-scale CO2 storage project

The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has already evaluated the applications and recommended the Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities to grant the first three (3) exclusive licenses for large-scale CO2 storage exploration in the Danish North Sea to TotalEnergies and one consortium formed by INEOS E&P and Wintershall DEA.

The permits are an important step towards realizing Denmark's CCS (carbon capture and storage) strategy and will start the plan for the development of large-scale CO2 storage in Denmark.
