Felipe Arbelaez, BP executive and leader of the British multinational's Hydrogen team, estimates that the demand for low-carbon hydrogen will reach between 380 and 450 million tons per year by 2050, representing 15% of the world's energy mix.
The company plans to invest 40% of its Capex in low-carbon hydrogen technologies and hubs, aiming to capture 10% of this global market by the end of this decade.
