The Economic Complexity Observatory (OEC) is an online platform for the visualization and distribution of geography and dynamics of economically active individuals. The OEC integrates and distributes data sets for capacitor analysts in private, public and academia.
The OEC is currently projecting and developing the Datawheel file, even though it is a research project for the MIT Aprendizagem Coletiva group (formerly Macro Connections Group). The OEC won the Dissertation of Alex Simões (2012), directed by Professor Cesar A. Hidalgo.
In 2012, the OEC signed MIT as a draft law project. The OEC has extended its length, amplification of its technical and analytical capacities.
