Essar launches Energy Transition venture focusing on hydrogen and ammonia

Essar, an industrial group of Indian origin with businesses in the oil & gas, metals and mining sectors, has just announced the creation of Essar Energy Transition (ETT), which plans to mobilize around 2.4 billion dollars in energy infrastructure projects from low carbon in the UK, plus another 1.2 billion in India.

The photo shows a hydrogen furnace arriving at Essar's Stanlow site, where the group operates the UK's second-largest refinery.

Hydrogen has been considered the energy vector that will revolutionize the way energy is produced, transported and consumed in the near future, with a high potential to decarbonize the world economy. Large global industrial conglomerates have positioned themselves at the forefront of energy conversion.
