On October 9th, the panel "Energy Transition: Where we are and where we are going" took place, held by the Commercial Association of Rio de Janeiro. The event brought together several panels, including representatives from the productive sector, academia and public authorities to debate the challenges faced and share knowledge for Rio de Janeiro's contributions as a national energy hub.
The panel was moderated by Gabriel Kropsch, President of the Business Council for Energy and Energy Transition at ACRJ, and included the participation of the following experts: Paulo Coelho, Head of Nuclear at Tractebel América do Sul; Rickard Schafer, General Director of Grupo Asja Brasil; Katia Repsold, CEO of Naturgy Brasil; Gil Maranhão, Sustainability Director at Engie; Luiz Gustavo Oliveira, Energy Transition and Biofuels Coordinator at the State Secretariat for Energy and Marine Economy; Maurício Ribeiro, CEO Green Solar Energia.
Also, as a panelist, Carlos Peixoto, executive director of H2helium, who reinforced the need to improve communication in the sector, so that information and knowledge can be available to the various interested parties, as well as to society in general, which already understands the need for decarbonization and now needs to understand which paths are being defined for the future of civilization.
